The final project presentation took place on Nov. 26, 2008, in Berlin, together with the second workshop on "mobile Verwaltungsdienste".
Citizen-Friendly Trans-European mGovernment Services
CIDRE aimed at bringing an existing German mobile citizen prototype service (German acronym: 'MoBüD') into the trans-European market. By means of mobile technology, eGovernment services are brought directly to the citizens, e.g. at shopping malls, libraries, homes of the elderly etc. Citizens can use public services at more convenient places with lowered access barriers, reducing the administrative burden and leading to a more citizen-friendly public administration.
By 31st Dec. 2008, the project was successfully completed.
